Forest Bathing.

This work is a visual representation of 'Forest Bathing' an immersive, natural, wellness experience for the senses. The term Forest Bathing or shinrin-yoku originates from Japan in the 1980s. The practice can be described as a form of mindfulness - or an ecotherapy. While this concept is credited to Japan, many cultures have understood the importance of nature to human health and wellness. There is scientific proof that engaging with nature can soothe our overacting brains. This idea of detaching from our hectic, screen-filled lives, and reconnecting with nature is crucial when considering wellness, and the senses.
