Practice-based researcher.
Indigo is an artist, educator and researcher. Her work explores the connection between the mind and body, physical and mental health and sensory experience. Since training as a teacher Indigo's research has moved into exploring the relationship between age, neurodiversity, creativity and sensory awareness. Her practice combines, photography, makeup, mixed media and participatory methods; this focuses on how creative or sensory aware environments. can support emotional wellbeing and inclusion.

Qualified secondary art and design teacher, specialising in inclusive practice and creative pedagogy. Her teaching experience is across KS3-KS5, with a strong focus working with SEND and inclusion, supporting neurodivergent and disadvantaged students. Developing sensory-aware classroom strategies to make learning more accessible and engaging for all learners.

MA Makeup and Hair Design Futures
Solent University
Her MA work examined sensory experience through the five senses, mental and physical wellbeing, connections between the mind, body and the environment. Her practice was based in photography, body art/make up, participatory experience and some sculpture. The research combined visual practice with reflective inquiry, which formed the foundations of her current interest in creative wellbeing, sensory learning and participatory method.

Indigo's undergraduate work established the multi-disciplinary approach to visual art, blending photographic experimentation, visual narration and exploration into different materials like makeup and body art. This early grounding in blended use of creative techniques and conceptual development, has shaped her commitment to accessible, sensory-rich and emotionally expressive, visual practice.
